Do you think blind people should be driving?

To: bigcountry, johnasks, and wife@mommy,
You all gave correct answers and I like that. But this question was to be a little bit funny. Thanks for your correct answers and to everyone else who took the time to answer. Also, the seeing eye dog answer was pretty clever too.
Thanks!

Funny!

I also notice that Wells Fargo Bank ATMs have a sign that says, "Brail instructions are for our non-sighted customers".

First off, blind people can't read this sign. And second - talk about political correctness! "non-sighted"? For God Sakes there is nothing wrong with the word "blind"! I just can't imagine a group of high powered executives sitting around a conference room and finally deciding to use the phrase "non-sighted".

And finally - I don't think anyone really needs it explained that braille is for blind folks; we get it!

I think that it's needed because if the blind person has someone to take them to the bank then they don't have to give their pass code to anyone else. And also sometimes the ATM machines are not in a drive through and you can walk up to them, on the side of the bank or in front of the bank or sometimes they are no were near a bank, then the blind person would have to know which number is which. So after the ATM makers started to put it on some of them they probably just made it a tradition to put it on all of them.

That is so true! Maybe it's there in case someone wants to walk up to the ATM instead of drive. Funny thought though!

This is due to The Americans With Disabilities Act. It's the law, even though it's pretty stupid.

Yes, and I have always wondered why. It isn't like the person who drove them to the bank isn't going to peep their pin number. The person is blind, so they won't know if the person is looking or not!
