Wow...Kate M is 'pretty oblivious.'

Chavez is angry. I don't think the U.S. is about "taking over the world," it's about misguided moral values. The U.S. doesn't want world domination, but we've played world "police officer," so long we don't know when to pull back.

China IS the next world power. They're are coming into their own with the mass production for less, while still watching their "pennies grow." The Chinese are more educated and more globally friendly. They used to say you should watch the Japanese, but the Chinese are the team to keep an eye on. Can you imagine when they decide to raise the price...we no longer produce hardly anything...we'll have to pay...and they will have us by the...you know what.

The US wants to be the only superpower in the world without any opposing force (US Hegemony). That is why they are trying to shut down any country with amitions to advance itself whether economically or militarily. Ex: Chavez provides China with cheap oil ---> US don't like that ---> US hates Chavez.

As for China secretly taking over the world I'm naive. Anyway, Robin Williams once said all they need to do is make 1 billion people go "Boom!"
