Personally I think that tats and piercings are a fad that most people will regret in a few years.
I admit to liking pierced navels with small rings, and have seen a few good tats, but most of the tats I've seen are... regretable.
Too many tats are blurry, faded, dark, indistinct, or just plain poorly designed. Friends have horrible black triangles on their lower backs that are supposed to be winged animals or celtic knots- and the poor folk either went to a mediocre artist, or got the budget options or something.
I have seen some fantastic ink- clear, sharp, vibrant. Dull tats tend to make you look older, used up, dingy. Good tats add some vibrancy and life.
The best tats I have seen have been smallish- rose or butterfly sort of thing in a nicely kissable part of the upper breast, ones near the navel, etc.
I guess my favorites of those I have seen (in the sensuality category) are a.) images that enhance sensuality, femininity, or love and b.) are in a place that you want your lover to kiss and touch.

My husband enjoyed it when i did my belly button. At my age, the tongue pericing was out. NOt to mention that perhaps getting any STD's from that area.

Well, I'm a girl....but I usually like tattoos and piercing that you can't see at all!...And are like a total surprise...Like, in a private area...LOL
And a tattoo really really low on your hip...so low that your underwear completely covers it...and it has some kind of deep meaning...
