Yes and he is still doing it.
An explosive report on the still-classified National Intelligence Estimate states that the "invasion and occupation of Iraq has helped spawn a new generation of Islamic radicalism and that the overall terrorist threat has grown since the Sept. 11 attacks".
Republicans and president Bush are trying to cover it up. The administration is selectively declassifying portions of the report to muddy the waters and the right-wing propaganda machine is in damage-control mode. There's even a second briefing that they still refuse to discuss.
So as the Republican congress tried to skip town, the Democratic leader in the House, Nancy Pelosi, went on the offense. She and her Democratic colleagues offered a motion to send the House into secret session to go over the full report in detail to get to the bottom of it.
But the Republicans wouldn't let it happen. Their "no" votes are the starkest admission yet that they just don't want to know what's really happening on the ground in Iraq, in Afghanistan, or anywhere else.

The problem is that the American people have been asleep for a very long time. We have been lulled into a complacency for more than 40 years. We are like sheep being led to slaughter, while we contemplate what material goods we would like to have next. As long as everything is going well in our "pasture" we do not worry about what the other sheep are doing. Perhaps we cannot help ourselves.
This is a much deeper problem than Republicans against Democrats or vice verse. We live on a very small planet. This planet supports various lifeforms, including people with diametrically opposed points of view in regards to what is right and what is wrong. If by some miracle we could learn that there is a time for everything, and everyone, we would all, the entire world population, be far better off. Until that happens then we will continue to struggle for world dominance and force our "righteousness" on those who do not see it.
Rather than being a part of the problem is it not better to be part of the solution? Exercise your right to vote.

Every word that comes out of George Walker Bush's mouth is a lie. He has misled the country from day-1. Especially when he swore to defend and uphold the American Constitution. Since that day he has spent many sleepless nights figuring out ways to either get around the constitution or ways to toally shred the document that has made America the great country that it was before the year 2000.

If this nation is still a democracy then YES he has misled us.
If this nation has become the dictatorship that he so desperatly longs for (he has been quoted saying that a dictatorship with him as the leader would make things a heckuva lot easier) then NO

He is a High Functioning Moron you know a short bus student. I seriously doubt if he intended to mislead anyone. The problem is people want a King to rule over them. So they expected to much from him.
I'm not following someone with an IQ of 85. He can't even eat a pretzel without having problems.

He is without a doubt, not only the worst president this nation has ever had, but the worst president of any nation ever in history. Yes, he has lied to the country...so much so that if he ever spoke the truth, only the mindless faithful would believe him.

I dont think he has done so on purpose. I do fault him on the war on Irag though. In the beginning he made it seem like they would just remove Saddam and then we would be out of there. What the hell were they thinking would happen after that? It seemed they planned the war up until they got Saddam and after that they would just cross the bridge when they got to it. Now that guy is the least of our problems and there is no end in sight.

Yes, yes he has. The only thing he concentrates on is the war, and if he wants Iraq to be free, war isn't going to help that. Plus, there are poor people in the U.S. he should help, and he is not doing that; he also needs to do something about education.
