How can you support the murder of a baby but not the death penalty.

Murders, including people that have abortions, have a choice in who they kill.

Babies have no choices.

When someone is sentanced to the death sentance, its usually because they deserve it. What has a fetus done to not have a chance at life? There are people who arent fortunate enough to be able to bear children, and others who discard a precious life without second thought.

I have difficulty with the thought of poverty and I know theres some kids with a crappy life cause their parents really cant afford them, but in this case I feel the parents should have been responsible in the first place by using proper contraceptive methods.

I also have a one year old daughter who I couldnt imagine my life without. I also have a mother who has had 3 abortions. Im an only child, so not only was I never blessed with brothers or sisters, but I had a 25% chance of making the cut from the get go. My siblings should be here.

The death penalty is a more humane, and cost efficient way to deal with repeat offenders who are just going to spend the rest of their living days in prison, draining our resources.

You asked.

I don't think you can compare the 2. They are completely different. I don't agree with using abortion as a form of birth control, however I think there are certain instances where abortion should be legal such as rape, etc. I totally disagree with partial birth abortion..that is killing a baby that has already got feelings and is sucking it's thumb, etc. I believe in the death penalty for murderers and pedofiles who ruin so many childrens lives. We've go to stop letting them back out on the streets to hurt other kids. Maybe the fear of the electric chair would make them stop and think before they torture a child.

Because someone sentenced to the death penalty has done something to deserve to die.

Abortion is usually (and I need to use that word because every case is different) is a lazy woman's response to covering up her mistake. Most women getting abortions basically were too lazy to prevent it. We live ina time where you don't have to take any responsibility for our own actions (look at Bill Clinton).

Pregnancy happens for a reason - biologically or religiously take your pick.. A life is the result and a woman not needing (again, every instance is different) an abortion is taking a life of someone who did nothing to deserve to die.

If you can't afford the consequences of your act, don't commit the act. Covering up YOUR consequences by taking a life is as sick as it gets.

By the way, it's still also very dangerous. Women are not given proper counseling outlining the dangers. Knowing these things before they play bedroom roullette may eliminate their problem before it comes to their decision to abort.

By the way MishMash your party still has no problem with partial birth abortions. You explain how that is not "infantcide."

Abortion is the act of taking an innocent child's life who isn't born yet but if there were no death penalty ,well, murderers / big-time drug smugglers would dare to do whatever they wish to.but this rule isn't always good.Aborting abnormal children is good for their own good as they're gonna suffer so much pain in their future life but aborting normal children is not different from murdering them at all.Because they have souls

You have to do something pretty messed up to be put to death. So if you get death, then so be it. I don't know if I support it though. I don't support abortion cause your not giving the child a chance at all. Not even with another family.

the death penalty to an extent.. im form the south you know what they say we have and we use it.. it depends on the crime and how bad it was.. not just to use it bc of overcrowding.. now abortion is another thing.. i dont believe in that.. if you were stupid enough to get your self pregnant knowing you couldnt handle it you should face ur consequences.. if you dont want it there are thousands of people that CANT even get pregnant that would love your child way more and provide alot better.. adoption over abortion.. only if the child is already dead then that is fine.. but bc of illness or just plain dont want then no

I agree with you that is a contradiction to be against abortion on grounds of murder, yet support the death penalty. It is a clear moral line that many people seem to have no problem crossing for whatever reason.

I personally am firmly and whole-heartedly against both. I'm not Catholic, but I agree with them on this issue. Let God sort people out, it's not our place to kill anyone for any reason.

Well, U tell me how YOU can support dismembering a growing living unborn human while it's still kicking around, letting it bleed to death, and then feel sorry for a guy who murders children, tortured some women then brutally raped and killed them, on and on.
Boy, you really are very mixed up. You need to get some information and start to think logically. and stop thinking based on whether or not the "right" wing is being hypocritical.

I am an independent, I am neither fully conservative or liberal. I think for myself, I suggest you gather all the information available and do the same.

What can an unborn child do to deserve to die? Can an unborn child rape and disfigure another human being? Can an unborn child shoot a police officer who is in the line of duty? Can an unborn child plan a murder and carry it out? What is missing in the whole discussion of abortion is the issue of ACCOUNTABILITY. Capital punishment serves our society by keeping us safe from murderers, but not forcing law-abiding taxpayers to keep murderers alive in facilities that are becoming more like luxury spas every day. It also serves the public interest of justice. Abortion does not serve the public interest because allowing the state-sanctioned murder of innocent children cheapens the value of life and fails to hold the parents of that child accountable -- if you're adult enough to have sex then you're adult enough to take responsibility for the child you created.
