I was a two headed monster where one head was eating the otherhead, it was genius, i used a manaquin head and hollowed it out, painted it like my best mate and filled it with blood, I attached it to my sholder and wore some wierd clothes. it was really cool and i won best costume prise at a night club. plus i covered everyone in fake blood.

If your going to dress up, please remember halloween is about scary stuff, not pretty things. A fairy is not a suitable costume for instance, but a menacing tooth fairy with massive pliers trying to yank your teeth out is.

I was POEMICA! QUEEN OF THE FRIDGE MAGNET POETRY!

I dressed in blue and made a big blue cape (could ahve been aqny colour though!). On the cape I put the 'loop' side of a whole bunch of velcro dots, some in rows together so there was space for sentences or poems, and a bunch randomly around the outer edges. Then I made a whole bunch of words on bits of card, and put the 'hook' side of velcor dots on the back of each one. I stuck all the words on the cape. People at the costume party had fun rearranging the words on my cape all night to make sentences and poems and nonsense sayings. I got a prize for this costume.

I made my son a costume called the Fairy Godfather - with pink tutu and a gangster's overcoat, tie, cigar. He won first place.

I also made my sons Mortal Kombat costumes that were awesome and they both won prizes for them. Venom and Raden.

I made my husband a killer bee costume - basically a bee with a sword. It was hilarious.

My son got married last year on Halloween - and he wore a poet's shirt (pirate), satin sash and cape. His bride wore a victorian wedding dress - after the reception - we went to all the haunted houses in town in a limo. It was fun!

I once went as roller girl. I'm an excellent roller skater and it was at an old house with wood floor so it was great!

The best one I've made was being the Tooth Fairy. Found a great 70s Cher style dress and pinned felt teeth to it and made a wand and tiara.
