they freak me out

If they really freak you out, the ordinary mouse traps won't do you any good -- you'd have to look at the dead mouse as you try to empty it.

Check out the battery operated traps. These are completely enclosed so you don't see the dead body. You can open it up, bait it, close it and turn it on. When the mouse goes in to get the bait, it steps on a metal plate and gets zapped. A small light will let you know if it caught something. Then just open it up & dump the mouse -- you don't even have to touch it.

I've seen these hardware stores, check Wal-Mart, they may also have it.

Good luck.

Get you a mouse trap and some peanutbutter. Put the peanutbutter on the mouse trap and that should do the trick. The only reason i say this, is a couple of years ago i had mice in my house and tried to use glue traps and they did not fall for them so i went out and bought mousetraps and as for the peanutbutter something i just thought up.

Dealing with that now. If there's one, there's probably more. Best thing I've found, is those glue traps, couple bucks for 4 at walmart. They're already baited and non toxic to kids and pets. If you don't want to kill them/throw them out with the trap, you can pour some vegetable oil on it and eventually they'll unstick themselves from the glue. Just be sure to take them at least a mile from your house, or they can return.

you have to either trap it or kill it - it's not likely to just leave on its own. And they can turn up in the weirdest places - my mother-in-law found one in her dishwasher! (Very dead, but very clean!)
