"Night" by Elie Weisel. I think I have the name right. He is a survivor of the camps and very outspoken on human rights and peace today.

Some good books are those written by Leon Uris, his most famous book "Exodus" was made a movie a long time ago -didn't like the movie, LOVED the book). He also wrote QBVII and Mila 18. They are great fiction books set not only during the holocaust ( Mila 18) but also following the sage of survivors going to Israel (Exodus) and Germans caught for war crimes (QBVII)

Have you read "The Diary of Anne Frank"? We had to read it in high school. Its a pretty good first hand account of the holocaust.
