Never give medicine or change sleeping position unless you know what you are doing or a Dr. told you so! I am a mother of 3 and though it might seem stressful dealing with a sick baby, always watch out for your baby's best interest! The humidifer is a plus, I use those all the time! Sometimes little babies get stuffy, unless you know it's a cold, it could be allergies. If he can't sleep, I would sit in the bathroom with the hot shower going to clear him up a little bit before putting him to bed. If he can't stay asleep, maybe let the baby sleep in a bouncy chair or swing so that the head is elavated. Always stay near the baby if youdo this. Good luck :)

They have this stuff at the store called stuffy noses, it works great, it doesn't have a lot of medicine for other stuff, it is just for stuffy noses. Also m make sure it is just a cold and not an allergic reaction, if it gets worse use a humidifier with childrens vapor stuff in it. And don't worry, you will come into contact with much worse, monitor him for fevers and make sure he gets lots of milk and some (just a few drops) of water to help keep him hydrated.

Anytime you have a question regarding your baby's health, call their pediatrician. Every baby is different, so you don't want to go medicating your baby based on the advice of average Joe. There are over the counter meds for infants, but only a pediatrician can tell you how much to give them.
Other than that, the only thing I can recommend is saline drops because they aren't medicine. The saline will help thin out the mucus in the nose so it can drain.

Both my kids had stuffy noses all the time at that age. First of all give no meds at that age without approval from your doctor. The Dr. will probily tell you to give saline nose drops and suction with a bulb suringe. You shouldn't really worry unless you begin to suction out thick green mucus. Clear is what you want.

when my 3 month old daughter got a stuffy nose i was told not to give her anything but saline nose drops and then suction out her nose if need be. don't lay her down flat. put her in her swing or place pillows or blankets underneath her crib mattress to keep her head elavated. well i hope that helps; good luck and i hope that your little one gets better soon.

The best thing I ever used for my baby is Vicks Baby Rub. This stuff really worked for my son. It calmed and relaxed him so he could sleep... the best stuff ever. Frequently use lil Noses Saline drops too.
~as for the humidifier thats good but the baby is too little to put the vicks vapor in it.

Get a vaporizor and put Vicks liquid in it. Also some $ stores have a liquid Vapor bath that I used in my son's vaporizor and it works just as good. Plain Sailine nose drops, and use the nasal aspirator.

Just keep sucking the stuff out with that little bulb syringe and try some saline nasal drops if things are really thick. If not ask your dr. what kind of medicine you can use for your baby.
