With all the aggresive campaigning for the right to torture people by cheney, bush, rice and rummy, doesn't it just make you sick that every single one of these people said that they were "appalled" by the abuses at abu ghraib? Which pale in comparison to the abuses that that have occurred in Afghanistan?

If the government legitimizes torture then we as Americans get ownership of that, it becomes part of who we are and what we represent. It is a very dark day for this country.

What the current administration is doing, is attempting to legalize what USED to not be defined as torture.

Recently, the idiots in the judicial system (and the UN) have decided that verbal insults, flushing a book down a toilet, and depriving a person of cable TV and internet access is "torture".

When the US signed the Geneva Convention and agreed not to torture, that wasn't what we agreed to.

What we are calling torture, (putting peoples underpants on their heads)

Is not the same as radical Islam calls torture, (cutting off fingers, Stoning people, forcing them to drive a suicide car or kill their kids, and Be-heading people)

See any difference?

Peace!
