I don't dislike children in general, I simply find it intolerable when a parent knowingly brings a child (who is prone to crying, yelling and generally "misbehaving") to a public place like a restaurant, the movie theatre or any public place where a quiet atmosphere is appreciated. Children on planes are even worse because they're guaranteed to cry as the plane is climbing to a cruising altitude and you cannot simply exit the plane like you can a movie theatre or restaurant. I generally blame the parents for assuming everyone else will be complacent with their undisciplined child.

why do parents think the world revolves around
their children.

The reason (or what I think) is parents like to get out of the house once in a while. Paying the children's admission for a movie is a lot cheaper than hiring a babysitter. The same with buying them dinner at a restaurant.
As far as these situations are concerned I think venues like movie theaters should charge $50 per child (that way, its cheaper to get a babysitter) for that $50 they get seated in an exclusive sound-proof "kiddie tank" (apart from the rest of the people watching the movie) that way they can be obnoxious as they will without disturbing everyone else.
As for the restaurants that aren't "family restaurants" they should have a separate "kiddie section" too.
And the airplane situation... there really isn't much to be done about that other than the parents in question should either keep their kids under control, leave them with relatives, or drug them so they sleep through the flight.
That's my thoughts on it.

I actually have a three twelve months previous toddler and her mattress time is 8pm. i don't are attentive to it as quickly as I see youthful toddlers on the bus whilst i bypass out clubbing at 10pm. i think of that's unfair on the youngsters to be up so previous due. toddlers unquestionably could be in a ordinary and in the event that they at the instant are not getting adequate sleep, they gained't have the means to pay interest day after at present. i think of a few mom and dad (mistakenly) have confidence that in the event that they shop their little ones up previous due, they're going to sleep longer interior the morning. All that truly occurs is they're grumpy and irritable. We get a babysitter approximately as quickly as a month (none of our relatives stay close by) and the final undertaking we could see on our grownup night out is a small drained toddler on the subsequent table. As for the movies, why are there toddlers there besides till you are going to work out a U movie, fairly the class skill that youngsters could be banned from seeing something different than U and PG movies? i'm able to style of comprehend the marriage undertaking notwithstanding, that's only approximately impossible to locate somebody to babysit for a complete day and night, notwithstanding between the mummy and dad could bypass dwelling house / retire to the motel room on the toddler's mattress-time leaving the dancing to the grown-ups. If the invitation explicity reported "no toddlers" then for sure we would not attend. i think of lots of persons are desperate to not enable having a toddler provide up them doing the failings they used to do however the merciless reality is that having a toddler does substitute the form you may do issues. How long earlier we've women human beings dancing in nightclubs with a toddler service strapped to them?

If you had children, you maybe would understand better that things need done sometimes. Now, I don't mean the movie theater, particularly. But sometimes you have to have dinner with the family in a restaurant. You may need to relocate to another state to get a better job and you would have to take your children with you. I hope one day that you have children and one isn't "perfect" and you will understand better how life works.

Now, on the other hand, I believe there are parents out there that expect everyone else to deal and are too lazy to deal with their kids or care about the inconvenience to others. I understand your frustration with those people. However, not everyone who has a crying, "misbehaving" child are lazy or uncaring.

Please try to have a little understanding.

As for babies on planes I can't say, but addressing the bratty misabehaving children in public? That's the parents fault for not teaching their children to be polite and considerate of others. :(=

you seem to think that kids should be seen and not heard.... of coarse they will cry in a plane, it is scarry that does not make them unruley.... as for the other stuff how on earth are you supposed to teach your kids appropriate social behavior if you never take them anywhere...... yes some kids are worse than others as well as some parents, but even annoying people have the right to eat and shop.

If it bothers you that much why don't you just stay at home - then you will never have to meet misbehaving kids.
