I started this tradition back in 1988 when I began to live with my Grandmother - the coolest, funniest woman in the South. I gave her a pair of disney thongs, which she wore over her pants on Christmas day, backwards. The folIowing years I proceeded to give her Homer Simpson slippers, a moo cow fishing hat, deer antlers to wear, a fake rat that squeeked in the bag before she opened it, sexy lingere, and since she loved pigs feet, a tiny stuffed piglet with the eyes x'd off and the feet cut off attached to a jar of pickled pigs feet.
She's grown to expect these gag gifts and looks forward to them each year, but I'm running out of ideas. Also, other family members have begun to steal my idea and try to upstage me by giving her a sexy bathing suit - which she wore. Any ideas would be helpful. Thanks!

How about a leg lamp like the one that Ralphie's dad won in the movie "A Christmas Story"? (you can get them by ordering online- go to Ebay and write in "leg lamp"!)
Other suggestions: Chia Pets, the Clapper, you know- all those Ronco gifts that come out at Christmastime!
You could also get her fuzzy slippers and maybe slouchy socks.
That's about all I can think of at the moment. I will think it over and try to get back to you ! :)
OK. I'm back. I don't know if these ideas are any good, but, hey-
they're free!
Socks with toes in them - the "compartments" have room for all the toes- they are usually striped.
A hat with a twirler on top.
You have time, you could write to the fan clubs of some of the younger actors. Include a note that these are for your 96 year old Grandmother. Maybe you can get some autographed? Then, when they come, put them in nice frames!
If you are good at computers and photoshop, maybe crop some photos of Grandma in with movie stars- like she met them!
Have t-shirts or hats made with Grandma's photo on them. Family members can wear them! Get one for Grandma, too!

have you ever watched that commercial for poker online?? this guy received a package at the door and started to blow up this blow up doll.. but the blow up doll was his poker partner... get her something that you can blow up but write something on it like "Eileens Stripper or Eileens spot warmer"... good luck
