A conformist conforms to the norms of their society. They go along with what most people consider acceptable. This keeps one from standing out, as they are part of the group. This does not allow for individualism. It keeps one from marching to the beat of their own drum, and stifles creativity.

a conformist in simple terms is some one who doesnt think freely. the drawback from conforming is no new ideas will ever emerge because everything will forever be vanilla, passe and unchange. the drawbacks is people tease you because you are different. they dont understand you dont want to be like everybody else. so ultimately you have to go with the crowd to fit in or be a depressed loaner.

people that go with the crowd... they are usually afraid to do anything different....
the defaults: you don't follow through with your own thoughts, you let others make decisions for you, and you neglect your own inner voice and listen instead to someone else's
the qualities: you don't stick out, you won't get noticed (if that's what you want), and you don't have to think very hard because others are thinking for you
