Being honest definitely helps. Also would depend on whether it is your first offence. Hope it is not too serious.

No. Pleading guilty gives the judge the right to charge you the max. The first thing the judge will say if you plead guilty is are you sure that is what you want to do and do you know that with your plead I can give you the max sentence of your crime. You should get a lawyer or talk to your public defender and try to make a deal with the D.A. Good luck.

It depends on what you did. However, it doesreduce thetime it takes to get through the courts, which may well have a bearing on thejudge's attitude to you.

This really depends on the judge. Please do not listen to anyone on here for advice on that. You are better off asking your court appointed defense attorney. They will know the judge better then strangers on yahoo. Please talk to your lawyer before making a decision.
