Ouch. I don't believe I'm allergic. I got stung through my glove and this is one of the most painful stings I have gotten. My hand is pretty puffed up and I've read just to ice it. Any other proven ideas appreciated.

If you have a potato cut into pieces and apply directly to the sting, this will draw out the poison and pain. Take an anti-inflammatory for the swelling and ice it for 10 minutes to help soothe the area. You can use the potato pieces several times to help draw out the poison and pain--it will also help with the swelling. Good luck and take care!

Is the stinger out? Mix up some baking soda & warm water into a paste. Wrap it up in a towel for at least 24 hours. Keep applying the paste everyday, it takes the poision out. My mom did this to me when I was little, I got stung by a Yellow Jacket. It helped with the pain but I don't think it did much with the swelling. Good Luck!!!

try meat tenderizer with a few drops of water or a little ice (no, not the hammer, the powdered stuff). It works pretty well.

wet tobacco.. even if it's from a ripped up cigarette.. the tobacco is great at pulling out the poison.. if your hand is swelling I'd also say take a benadryl.

whatever you do, DO NOT put MEAT TENDERIZER on it!!! if it can gets in there it can casue nerve damage. i read that in a first aid hand book so its pretty ligit! if you put fresh mud on it, it draws out the poisons as well.
