Consider the English Premier League (Soccer) - one of the best/toughest in the World. There is an old English soccer cliche that says that the way for a club owner to make a small fortune is - start with a large fortune.

Would anyone put millions of dollars into a club, knowing they would likely lose money ?

what is the difference between rich people and poor ones . they are all human, some people like sports and some dont. but i guess rich people are busier and do less sport . and poor people have less money and cant go for golf and something like this. so, its better that your wife/spouse be rich, then you wont be busy and you can go for golf and expensive sports anytime .

of course we do -- we have the money to work out an whatever gym we want - play whatever sport we want. We want to be in amazing shape ( most of us do ) and most do something about it. I find that poor people don't care about sports other than to watch -- most would rather have a bunch of weiners or a pizza - get stoned drunk -- and frown on anyone that has a salad or something healthy -- get your demographics right. Most of the fat slobs you see are poor -- eating munchies getting high and drinking beer - sneering at anyone going to a gym everyday etc...
