We all have had colds/flu in our house now for over a week and we are not getting much better.
Has anyone used those 2 products or anything like them with ANY success?
(I am not sure that I spelled them correctly...)

The answer is no. These products, and most like them, only dorment the reaction of your body. A cold is your body's reaction to the invasion of a virus. "Cold Remedies" basically close down your immune defences so you feel better but your body, in the meantime, does not get rid of the virus thereby extending the period of time that you actually have the cold.
Better is to use astringent remedies. Ginger tea works wonders for stuffy noses and heads while a drop of whiskey in it will reduce your body temperature slightly and if you stay in bed and keep warm you can sweat it out.

Never tried TheraFlu, but ColdEze SUCKS! In fact, if I take it, I have to stay very still. I tried watching tv while taking it and it left me dizzy and nauseous. Plus it tastes gross.

they work on the symptoms, but not on the what made you sick itself... the way they aid the most in healing is that they allow you to rest comfortably so that your body can catch up..
