No, not for what he said about President Bush. It was wrong and stupid, but just name calling.
I am more concerned about the destruction of freedom in his country, the moral aid he gives the terrorists, and the communist ideals he is trying to spread in the US. That is why we should refuse his oil.

We should boycott ALL oil.

Our government has stifled research into alternative fuels to satisfy the greed of the oil conglomerates. They have KEPT us dependent on oil to guarantee PROFITS for those companies. It's clear we have the knowledge, technology, and funds necessary, but fail to take the initiative. Our country is quickly falling behind the rest of the world, technologically speaking, EXCEPT in defense technologies, because (again) they're BIG MONEY for our politician's buddies. Even our involvement in Iraq makes sense for no other reason than control of their oil. Every other reason Bush has given has miserably failed to hold up to scrutiny.

What Chavez got wrong was his specific blaming of Bush. While yes, Bush has ulterior motives, they are not his alone. Do a search on the "Trilateral Commission" and our (privately owned, not government institution) "Federal Reserve".

Anyone who thinks "glabalism" and the so-called New World Order aren't real is not paying any attention to the business news on our planet, the mega-corporations being formed through consolidation, and how EU and the soon to be North American Trade Union are huge steps in that process.

It seems something BIG is coming...something that's really going to get American citizens in an uproar. There's no other reason for this administration to have changed our Constitution by passing the Patriot Act. It greatly diminshes our civil rights, liberties, guarantee of due process, protections from unfair treatment by our own government, and redefines "terrorist" and national threat much more broadly...and vaguely. In essence, it protects our government from US...and protects us from NOTHING. Couple this with law enforcement's and military's disenfranchisement from civilians, and their loyalty to a POLITICAL PARTY, namely the neo-cons, and you have a very scary scenario at hand.

Also, if you're brave enough, do a search on FEMA (Wikipedia has a good summary) and see what powers it actually has if a President declares a national emergency. I promise you, Democrat or Republican, you won't like it.

We're being trained like dogs (through media) to be good consumers, soaked dry (through the insurance, prescription, credit, and inequal taxation scams), and slowly losing our worker's rights. We've become cattle for the elite's slaughter.

The only real way to fight them back is through their wallets.

These boycotts never seem to work out as intended. On the surface it may seem like a good idea, but it will negatively affect the workers in the US who work for Citgo Oil.
Besides, there are other countries lining up who will gladly purchase Venezuelan oil.

Yes! That's a great idea!!! Refuse the oil of someone who told the truth! Heaven knows we don't want any of that in this nation! Let's bomb that truth speaking, democratically elected, very popular President back to the stone ages!!! And hurl insults at him the whole time!

Please. Do some research instead of listening to Druggie Limbaugh or Bill O'Reilley! Chavez is only unpopular with the wealthy elites that don't like the fact that he is taking care of poor people! They criticize Chavez for "imprisoning opposition leaders" and call him a tyrant for it without looking at the fact that the "opposition leaders" were in fact a US funded military coup! They killed thousands of people in the 48 hours of their coup, and afterwards were arrested and tried for treason! Same as would happen here. Big money people don't like it when someone starts spreading the wealth around.

He was just telling the truth. Wake up, the president is hegemonic and acts like a little tyrant. In fact, he kinda reminds me of Hitler. I say Hugo Chavez 2008!!!! Okay, not really, but I had you going there. Yes, I would accept his oil. My energy bill is high enough, I can use all the help I can get. Besides, you guys still put gas in your cars right? You know 3-5 cents out of every gallon goes to support your friendly neighborhood local terrorist organization. At least Chavez hasn't tried to kill any Americans.

e44ever...We already have refused his oil, back during Katrina, he offered thousands of barrels for FREE and Bush turned him down. So it seems we should blame Dubya more than him for the gas prices!

YES we should no country should be allowed to come to the US and bad mouth this country and president and be able to get away with it. He is one reason that gas prices got jack up so much. I say lets just go take that country over to. American have turned in to wimps and will let any country say what ever they want about us. We need to have pride in our country and back of president even if he is a goofy one. He is he president and was elected despite what some people think. Just my 2 cents worth
