If it's appropriate for a wedding, then the color is fine. It should be at least knee length for modesty, and nothing too flashy, like sequins, to stand out. The attention is on the couple, you shouldn't look like you are trying to steal the stoplight. A sexy dress can look trashy when it's a wedding. Make sure it's demure enough not to raise eyebrows, and suits the formality of the wedding. An ankle length dress at a daytime wedding may be too formal, while a shorter dress may not be formal enough for an evening wedding

Personally, I'm a big fan of deeper colors for fall weddings, and other special occasions. (Sapphire, amethyst, emerald, garnet, burgundy, navy, forest green, etc..) I think they tend to look more season appropriate than pastels which tend to look more spring or summer.

If you have to wear the dress you have... warm it up. The suggestion of brown was a good one which I will elaborate on. Accessorize the dress with topaz jewelry, brown or metallic brown shoes and purse. If the dress looks too Spring/Summer (as in bare shoulders, spaghetti straps) find a wrap in warm colors as well.

I'm sure you'll look fabulous in your pink dress! If you're looking for something new, you can't go wrong with a deep, rich, purple either. Have a great time!

What shade are the bridesmaids donning? Many grandmothers/attempt to praise (no longer adventure!) the shade scheme of the marriage. party - the bridesmaids are donning sky blue/light blue so mom/grandma wears a royal or military blue. they are donning lipstick purple so per chance you opt for a gentle rose colored outfit. save it interior the same shade relatives yet no longer so close that apparently like you tried to verify yet did not get it quite authentic. I continuously imagine that looks wonderful. although, my wedding ceremony changed into contained in the spring, my women wore a spring eco-friendly and my grandmother wore a light-weight purple dress, it changed into stunning on her. i have in no way heard of the bride advising others what to positioned on, besides the bridesmaids and groomsmen. i does no longer dream of telling my grandmother, mom, mom in regulation what to positioned on till they requested my opinion. they are all adults, no longer babies.

I think jewel-tones are great for November! Cranberries, deep purples, bronzes, deep oranges. Those colors just look festive for that time of year! No pastels...they are too "springy" or "summery". Rich colors.

the first girl said cranberry! definatly you need the warm rich tones, maybe a deep ruby red or even a plum color. no bing its too summery.
