First of all, don't wear anything you are not comfortable in. If you are not comfortable, it shows.
Secondly, where are you going? I'm going to assume it's a dinner and movie date, or something like that. If you feel casual, wear a nice pair of jeans that really accent your butt, a pair of heels and a pretty top. If you feel a little less casual a skirt and a pair of boots and that top would be just fine. Khakis would be OK too, if he's into that and you don't mind them too much (I would reccomend a cambridge cut pant--they fall just right and make your butt look scrumptious!).
One more thing--If the guy is a little on the short side (mine is) if you wear heels make sure you are not taller than he is. I've noticed that gets on a lot of men's nerves. You can always substitute lower-heeled boots and flats for heels.

Dress nicely, don't show too much skin but wear something that will outline your body and at the same time make you look elegant. I would think a nice black dress up to the knees, show enough skin in the front (possibly a subtle hint of cleavage, but definitely show your collar bone) and wear a shawl. Dangling earrings, a necklace...sorry, I am imagining how my wife looks when we go out, and what I described above is my favorite look...sexy, but not giving away too much for others to see.

I would say it depends where you all are going and what you feel comfortable with. When i go on dates i hate spending like 2 hours trying to find the perfect outfit. So my advice to you is wear something that makes you look confident and feel good. You'll be able to enjoy your date way better.

Something conservative and nothing that says "I'm easy".....a nice top (nothing low cut) and a pair of jeans. When you feel more comfortable LATER, then show something more revealing. This way, too, you will know if he's really into YOU or your body.

you should wear what you feel comfortable, because he is a gentleman, really likes you and perhaps cares about you, then he shouldn't be paying attention to the physical aspects from you.
