You said not to, but spyware does work. It found a keylogger on my computer even after the keylogger was supposedly "undetectable." Norton AntiVirus also found it.

Can't say it'll work in your case, but it's worth a shot.

When you press CTR ALT DEL a window pops up, choose task manager/ applications or processes. This shows all the programs that are running. You would have to know what program to look for BUT an anti-virus program would automaticvally tell you if spyware is working. It will not tell you if a keylogger is installed.

Download and run Spybot available at www.download.com

Also make sure you have a firewall installed to block anyone from gaining access and looking at your e-mails.

And if you are using wireless -- which he can tap into when you are not aware.

Look for a "keylogger" installed on the back of the PC.

Finally change your passwords on e-mail accounts, etc anything you shared that someone would know about.

You have to download a scanner. Sorry. Spyware Dr. is a good one, too.

If he installed a keylogger, the files the use are hidden so the keylogie cannot find them and disable it. Unless you have the documentation from the software company you'll never find it without a scanner.

FYI - some keyloggers can be programmed to send an email with the keystroke log to the person doing the snooping when certain keywords are typed. So if he hasn't been over in a while and just happens to know things he shouldn't know, or randomly shows up at the places you go, chances are you've been bugged.

well if he does have spyware running on the system a virus and spyware programme should detected it.
After using ctrl, alt, delete look for something that doesn't have system programme beside it which if your using Windows and under processes it will show everything in this field after using ctrl, alt, delete.
shut down everything that you have no idea about that is using your screen/user name of the computer except explorer.exe because that will crash your computer, and then rescan the computer with AVG software and/or Claimwin anti virus scanners and also Ewido anti spyware,If you are unsure of what programmes you are and are not able to close email me with what is running under processes and I can let you know what should not be there, and no in case you are wondering I can't access any information off your computer in doing this.
Good luck

The only way to find out if you have Spyware is to run a spyware scanner? Get real.

Don't tell us to not tell you to download spyware protection. Only a skilled professional can recognize spyware programs without the Spyware scanner. And even then they STILL use Spyware scanners to find and remove Spyware.

Sheesh

P.S. Why do you care if you EX BF has spyware...and what the heck is a BF? BUTT FU_K?
