Nice observation! Probably so, but I think wings can sometimes evolve from other random structures like ears and antennaes.

Not necessarilly. From the placement of the wings it is more likely that the creature originall had four limbs (like a bat) and at some point the wings and forearms split into two separate appendages.

nah, it just means it's backbone or ribs evolved differently and made wings.
