If you consider advocating democracy over dictatorship to be exclusively liberal, then maybe. Otherwise, no.

Of course “Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith" is not propaganda. Ultimately it is an enjoyable juvenile space fantasy that is infused with small amounts of spirituality, and some commentary about the political nature of man. Of course most fantasy trilogies are metaphors into our political, social, cultural, and religious underpinnings.

This does not make it propaganda, per se, for any political party. The fact that you would consider it liberal propaganda underscores that you probably see the “Empire” in Star Wars as the equivalent of imperialist conservatives today. That interpretation seems wrong on many counts, one of the most obvious being that the imperialist forces helmed by Darth Vader and Darth Sidious, are far more competent than the imperialist forces commanded by Bush.

There seemed to be a little bit of a liberal undercurrent. I had to ignore it because I'm a huge Star Wars fan, but I'm no fairy lib ****** too.
