Without going into detail at this point - can anyone point me in the right direction on how to get advice - I'd like to know what I can do about a medical procedure that went seriously wrong?

Do you mean legally or medically? Depends where u are but if in Uk maybe contact british medical association and ask them where to go for help. Or go to the director of surgery at the hospital where you had procedure and ask them?

Hi there, you need to first contact your local PALS (patient advisey liaison service) service within your hospital. There should be leaflets around your hospital that you can get the number from. Basically they help you to sort out your complaint, they are your best starting point, they may also point you in the direction of a solicitor that deals with medical liable cases.

Get yourself a really decent lawyer and sue the trust where you had the op. If they were negligent you go for it and dont lie down until then. Lots of lawyer firms have free legal advice clinics where you could attend and find out what to do next.

If you are having ongoing problems and need to see a doc go to your GP and get a new referral at a different trust to where you had your op. Dont have anything to do with the doc who did your op, or the trust where he/she works.

Hope this helps, sorry to hear things not gone well.

Go to one of the specialist solicitors that will advise you on the best action. They do it on a no win no fee basis.
They advertise on TV and in some newspapers.
Could try a net search for one near you.
Good luck with it and hope you are OK in the end.

You'll need to consult with a second doctor as a starting point.
