that did give me a chuckle, there are worst things, my friends aniv. is around memorial day, guess what she got, a nice arrangement of fake flowers on a stake for her flower bed, and she jokingly said am I suppose to bury you there under these flowers, its something to this day to laugh about, you will learn over the years together, you will get many gifts and will always wonder why in the world did he give me this for, have an open mind and get a good laugh out of it, laughing is good for the soul and relationships, I have given my husband gifts that I actually wanted and use to this day, have fun with life, you'll last longer,

Sorry ...my hubby was in Iraq on our anniversary so I'd have been happy with the 25lbs of meat! Really though just be glad that he remembered. May not have been the most romantic and is really kinda odd but it really is the thought that counts.

By the way my dad gave my mom a weed whacker for their 25th so you could have gotten something worse! LOL

Damned if we do, damned if we don't. LOL

Look at it this way, at least he remembered. Sometimes we aren't that great when choosing a good gift, it's not really in our genes. 9 times out of 10 a guy gets good gift-giving advise from his mother or close female friend.

I wouldn't worry about it too much. Don't put too much meaning into it. You didn't go into the relationship for the material things, did you? Appreciate the fact that he cares.

Have fun!

When I was 16, my first boyfriend gave me a pack of condoms and a bar of chocolate for our 2 weeks "anniversary"! I was a virgin and didn't think that was funny. We lasted 2 weeks and one day. Now, 6 years later, I might go to bed with him if I have the chance! :P

First anniversary, he had to leave for active duty.
Second Anniversary, he was overseas- although I went to the beach (but with friends)
Third anniversary, I got a phone call.
Sorry I think I have you beat, meat is better then nothing (although not much better)

That's too funny, however I would rather get that than the shovel and gardening gloves that my husband gave me for our second. LOL We just have to take it with a grain of salt. My husband got me the shovel and gloves because I was starting to get interested in having a garden. His heart was in the right place, but I still wonder where his mind had gone.

LOL!

Most men are really not "good" at picking out gifts for their lady....but their heart is in the right place, and thats what counts....my Man gave me a mint green bathrobe one year for Christmas...MINT GREEN is NOT one of my colors....but I always wore it, when i got out of the shower because it always reminded me how sweet that normally Alpha Agressive Male could be....and only I can bring that side out in him....

So be happy! When life gives you hamburger patties, make salsbury steak!!!!

My wife has forgotten to even get me a card for our anniversary. I also got a hammer for Christmas once.

She has also given me great gifts, but seems to do this in spurts. I think I am on double secret probation.

Lovely Cat Eyes: When we had been married for nearly 25 years, I asked my wife what she would like for her anniversary. She asked for, and got, a new car battery for her Mini. When the garage man was stamping it with the guarantee date, I asked him to put 'With Love'. (He didn't, the mean basket, I had to get a card). I am 100% serious........... and she was perfectly happy.................
