I would assume if you say "enforce" it you had it in the lease as a requirement.

Send a letter stating, "I'd just like to remind you that Section 7 of your lease specifies that you must utilize the recycling bins located ___________. It appears that you are not currently in compliance with this item of your lease, and I would appreciate your efforts to correct the situation."

But be aware, that "micromanaging' Your tenants on something this small might make themmove out when the lease is up. I HATED those "just a reminder!" notices when i was at a complex and I Moved.

You force tenants to recycle? You don't have enough to do with normal rental clauses?

you can not force the tenants to do this........it is not a law so therefore it depends on the tenant's choice..............all you can do is to encourage them, devise a rewards program if you feel strongly for recycling at your rental property
