It seems all I ever hear is what a jerk he is. I know he doesn't care for sportswriters, but I can't hardly blame him for that. And yeah all the steroid stuff has come up the last couple of years, but people have ALWAYS said what a dink he is.

If you read about Bonds and listen to reports from his teammates you learn that he is out mainly for himself. As the son of a former ball player he always considered himself to be better than his teammates. He went to college at Arizona State where he was voted off the team, all but one of the players on the team voted to kick him off, but the coach who didn't think Bonds would lose the vote said he could stay because the vote was not unanimous.
Bonds demands better treatment than any other player on his team. He cheats on his wife and on his mistress for that matter. He is dismissive to the fans who he holds in contempt. He will not help his teammates or give them pointers when they are on the Giants because he thinks they may leave and then use his tips against him. He is notoriously fickle in his friendships. Bonds stole Gary Sheffield's personal chef and when Sheffield called Bonds on this, Bonds pretty much cut Sheffield off.
For these reasons, the steroids fiasco, and others I don't think I like Barry Bonds.

None!!!!! He is a great guy! Just because he doesn't talk to sportswriters, that doesn't make him a jerk. The sportswriters think if Bonds wouldn't kiss thier butts, then they'll write bad things about him. Then you have all the idiots that read the sportswriters and jump on the bandwagon. You should look at Bonds as a hero for not kissing butt!!!!!!!!!

most likely he hasnt been on steroids since 04 when steroids became illegal besides how many other players get blamed for being on steroids

You can'y deny his ability. He's great, and if it's steroids, then i hope they bust him. He doesn't care about his fans, the ones paying his salary. He will never be popular or heroic. He hasn't set any new standards. Look at Aaron, he paved the way for Black ball player's, during a time when it was really tough to play professional sport. He was the pioneer. And then Ruth, he's just the next guy. He got his strength from beer and hotdogs, just a man's man. What does Bond's represent. Other than his own ego. He's a pecker head.

The only thing that kept him from being the biggest jerk in the Giants locker room is Jeff Kent.
He's wasting a roster spot. Give me someone who can run and play defense and cares about the little things, like moving a runner over a base, instead of swinging for Puget Sound.

Barry only cares about Barry! They ran him out of Pittsburgh because it became obvious they would never have a championship team with him in the clubhouse. Since he's been in San Francisco they've done nothing because Barry sucks all the air out of his team mates and the locker room. In short he is the T.O. of baseball. It will be fun to see his sports writer a** kissing tour when he becomes eligible for hall of fame consideration.

I have none. Let him use steoroids too. Hopefully professional athletes will one day be allowed to use them, then we'll really see what they can do. Who knows, maybe one day we'll bring back gladiators as well. Talk about entertaining.
