I live in MN. I've got some bugs that really creep me out, but I haven't been able to identify them online. They have the appearance of a hairy caterpillar, although they are pretty slim compared to the catepillars I've seen. Brown in color, with a lot of hair. They do have legs, and are super fast. They also seem to not like the light, because if I turn on a light they go scurrying for the darkness. They also have the ability to climb the walls, which creeps me out even more. I'd like to know what they are so I can buy the right product to make them disappear.

I agree about that "house centipede" identification: From Ohio State University:

"The house centipede, unlike most other centipedes that normally live outdoors, can live indoors especially in damp, moist basements, cellars, bathrooms, crawlspaces or unexcavated areas under the house. They are sometimes seen running rapidly across the floor with great speed, stopping suddenly to remain motionless and then resuming fast movements, occasionally directly toward the homeowner in an attempt to conceal themselves in their clothing.

Control Measures
Centipedes, related to lobsters, crayfish and shrimp, require moist habitats and areas of high humidity. It is important to keep the house and outside area as dry as possible.

Prevention
Keep old boards, or rotting wood, compost piles, grass clippings, leaves, stones, etc. away from the house foundation. Remove, if practical, trash or leaf litter in a strip 3 feet wide surrounding the house foundation, exposing the soil surface to drying from the air and sunlight. Repair and seal cracks and openings in the foundation wall and around door and window frames with caulking compound and weather stripping.

Properly ventilate basements and subfloor crawlspaces to eliminate excess moisture. Indoors, control nuisance insect populations to reduce the food source (prey) of centipedes. These creatures can be collected by broom and dustpan, vacuum cleaner or other mechanical means and discarded."

The link below also talks about what insecticides to use under what conditions. Hope this helps. Good luck!

Sounds like centipedes to me since they scurry from the light. This is a house centipede.

I think you're talking about a centipede of some sort. Call an exterminator; they know what they're doing.

If no go, try a general insect id site.

They could be millipedes.
