Because a zombie bit him first and they are killing him so that he can't come into your house and turn you all into zombies. They are protective ninjas... but you didn't know that until I just told you, you thought they had murdered your brother in cold blood... but they swear by the sword, they have honor, and they only live to protect you and your family... from, say, zombies and other bad elements like werewolves... and maybe pirates.
