When you finally learn what P2P or peer to peer means, you might get a clue! These file sharing sites connect your PC with someone elses! Not to a website! Your downloads come from a total strangers PC! Some of these peoples PCs are so infested with malware it aint funny! P2P networks have become the number one method of spreading malware! If you are gonna insist on using them, stop complaining! Its your own fault! Now run your adware removal tools, your anti virus program, and either stop using these sites or be prepared for the worst! One day, your system will shut down completely and you will pay someone out the bum to fix it! There is no such thing as free on the net! Yuo will pay one way or another!

Yoi and jv, you two need to stick with fixen yourselfs sandwiches because you aint got a clue!

You could be a victim of the good old P2P viruses/trojans, which are downloaded at the same time as music, hence why P2P should be avoided, and you might have some nasties lurking.

Register, go to the Hijack This Forum, read the instructions on how to post a log, give a brief description of your problem (like you've just typed) and post your log there. The guys in there are fantastic and trustworthy and will guide you in case you have got some bad stuff downloaded from using P2P. Good luck.

Everytime I have worked on a PC that is slowing down, 99% of the time it has been Viruses, Adware, Spyware and or they are using Peer to Peer sharing and their bandwidth is getting hogged up by file-sharing.

If you are using a peer-2-peer program, that's probably why. It's hit-and-miss with them...sometimes you get a good fast connection if lots of people are sharing the file, but sometimes you get a slow connection if not many people are sharing the file. You might also want to check with your ISP to see if they are experiencing any problems or doing any upgrades.

Mine is doing the same. I would suggest burning cd's if possible and deleting the songs after. If you have alot of extra programs that you don't use you may want to delete them also.(Programs that you have installed) not what came on your pc. I am going to try it myself tody. I have plenty of memory too but mine takes forever just to boot up anymore.Good luck ! P.S. You can also try to defragment. It will probably take a long time so you could start it before you go to bed or something.

Hi,

You may like to test the speed of the Internet connection you have. Besides that please scan you PC for possible viruses or spy-wares.
Try un-installing unnecessary software from Add/Remove Programs.

You may also like to post this issue to our engineers on our website http://www.maincorporated.in/

I think you may need to clear your temporary internet files (cache). If you have a troubleshooting program that checks your internet connection on your pc, run it, and it will diagnose the problem and also fix it for you. Hope this helps.

try getting a new laptop where it has 2 different drivers, so when you download something, it won't interfer with what you're doing and the connection will be much faster too.. if not, try not using the computer when you're downloading songs..
