I really love this guy and he loves me back, things went wrong a few months ago, it's very complicated...but we are not going to be in touch for about 10 more months, in total it would be 14 months, is it possible for us to still love each other and get together in time? I feel like my heart's been ripped out of my chest and I know he feels like that as well. I know I'll still be in love with him and still love him in 10 months' time, from now. We wouldn't be in touch for that period of time unfortunately due to circumstances. I hear that patience is a virtue and perseverance pays off. I have heard that people are apart from each other for years and they still love and are in love with each other and they get it together, does this really happen? It's almost like a fairy tale, if this happens, is this common, or happens in quite unique situations? Thanks for all your help!

Honey if he's incarcerated, go visit him every other month and allow him a 5 minute call 2 times a month...If he's not then write to him and let him know how you feel everyday, save the letters, when he's home...give them to him...

Only time can tell with the situation. People change, be willing to work on it, if at all possible, stay in touch some way. Don't make promises to each other that you don't know if you can honestly keep. I'm a sucker for love, if it works out for you both, wonderful. But don't spend the next year basically waiting for something that may break your heart. They say absence makes the heart grow fonder. Again only time can tell, no one but you two can detirmine if this will really work out in the end. If I could tell the future, it would be nice. Good luck, hun. Keep your head up.

My personal feeling on that would be that you'd be wasting your time holding off for something that may or may not happen. Life is too short - if you're looking for a healthy relationship, your time is better spent developing one, not waiting for a "maybe". If you guys were compatible enough to be together, you would be already.

It is possible only if both people are on the same page. If one is feeling strongly and waiting and the other is not sure and isn't sure on waiting or not, it won't work. If both of you are sure it is what you want you should have no problem waiting to be with the one you love.

If the two of you both feel the same way then yes it can happen. I am in the same situation as you. I always say you can't chose love, it choses you. If it's ment to be then it will be. Good luck hunny.

you can wait all you want but in the end are you SURE that he wont have anyone else? think about if you do wait for that long and it turns out that it was for nothing
