Try pressing F11 - that changes Internet Explorer between Windowed and Full-Screen.

This can happen if you close the browser with a small window open. Close all windows except the small one. Drag the window by the sides and corner to make it full size. DO NOT USE THE MAXIMIZE ICON. Now hold the CTRL key and close the window. Restart the browser and it should be ok.

You could double-click the title bar that's on top of the IE window.
You could also use the maximise button, its the middle button on the top-right corner of the window that looks like a box.
You can also hit F11 it switches from window mode to full mode.
You could also drag the window from the top corners to the size which you want.

Drag each corner of the smaller screen, using your mouse, to the maximised screen size. Then go to File, then Close. Try again, it should work next time

if u r using internet explorer 7..then press F11..

Minimize it and then put it back to full size and it should go back to normal.
