not at all, it's a great bonus, especially if it's "above average" (ex: I say chad johnson, or shaun alexander, or jake delhome, my parents would know who I'm talking about and which team they play for, but if I go a little less known, perhaps: joey galloway, wilis mcgahee, charlie frye, they probably couldn't think of position or team off hand) -----so......I really need a girl like that because my only friend who knows enough (/enough players) to discuss on that level went to college 2+hrs away (and good discussions arn't as fun over email) :D.

Hopefully not. But I've had a few conversations with some men who had no idea of how sports savvy I am and actually walked away knowing something that hadn't before. I'd like to think that they were "enlightened" instead of intimidated. On the other hand, some guys find it to be a turn on when a chic is as knowledgeable about football as they are. Maybe hurt egos when it turns out you know more than they do, but it shouldn't scare or intimidate them.

Some may be intimidated but I think its cool. I like to talk about football with knowledgable people, men or women, though women are more fun to look at while you do.

Intimidated, I'm turned on! It would be nice to watch a football game without hearing questions like : How many points do they get for a homerun? or, Those colors don't match.

I am not intimidated. I think it is awesome when a girl is knowledgeable about football or other "manly" things.

Nope, so don't try to use that as a reason that guys don't like you. I think most guys would love a girl to watch a game or talk football with. Just bring the beer and chips and you are "in".

most guys like when girls know a little about football, but don't use football to talk to a guy, you don't want to come off like you know so much about the game, cause if he's a guy that you really like then he'll later view you as one of the guys. talking about football is good, but if you want a guy to notice you, ask questions that they can answer.

No, i don't care if a woman knows a lot about football. It's kind of nice to converse with a woman who knows something about the game.
