There are many forms of humour and those forms will appeal differently to different individuals. When you say a person has a good sense of humor, it generally means that they see the world the way you see it; laugh at the same things that you find funny. For example, your friend might find slapstick humour hilarious...and you might agree, so, you would describe them as having a "good sense of humour". For me, someone who has a good sense of humour is able to see humour in the ridiculous aspects of life.

They are funny...sometimes they share your sense of humour..what you think is funny.
We all have our own sense of humour(or lack there of) and sometimes when we meet someone with the same sense of humour we can relate. If you are asking this question, you probably haven't got much of one. Maybe you should read some joke books and hang out with funny people. LAUGHING IS GOOD FOR YOU.
