They want to control everything they do it gives them a sense of power when that power is threatened that is just how they react.

Yikes, this is a tough one, kind of like a trick question! Women are jealous as well, so it is not entirely fair to say that only men are jealous! I get jealous and protective when my boyfriend hits on other girls, when they hit on him, when he flirts with them, watches porn, call his ex-girlfriend, tells one of his long lost high school friends (who is a girl) she is the most beautufil girl on the planet.......blah blah blah---i confronted him about this and how it makes me feel and also that i do not think he is respecting me----this did not work, so i stopped feeling so bad when another guy would tell me i am beautiful or that there should be more girls like me---i know that i would never act on any crush or desire i had for another person besides my boyfriend, but i figure if it's good enough for him, its good enough for me......he needs to lose his double standards, and if he doesnt, i will give him a taste of his own medicine----me flirting, talking to my exes (which he says is the worst thing ever), yet he still talks to his.........but i just let him know that it DOES go both ways---if he wants me to stop, then he better be stopping as well, or he can shut his mouth!

Not all of them are. I have found that women are more jealous than men in relationships.

It's a primal territorial issue. By nature, we choose our mate and we see it as "ours". While some of us have evolved and realize that our mate has free will and we have faith that our mate will make the right decision and return to us of their own free will, others have not. You need to check the jealousy now before it gets out of control. Otherwise, you need to find someone who's not jealous...

sumtimes we have a reason to be jealous, like if you are hanging with an other guy or flirtin? Its in our nature to be protective an Jealous. We want our woman all to ourselves!!!!
