The damage was not discovered right away and we don't know how dangerous the mold situation is right now the last time we were there was Memorial day weekend and the damage was found in August. the leak has been repaired but now we need to remove the damaged drywall safely.

be sure to wear masks and protective clothing. spray bleach solution and let it dry thoroughly before hanging new drywall.

Don't do it yourselves...call someone who is trained to handle mold removal. They wear special masks and suits so they don't get sick from the mold spores flying around in the air.

when there's mold, get the pros in ASAP to do the job...they will ventilate and filter the bad air and get rid of all the mold so it does not stay and grow again.

I f you have any concern, as allergies, wear a mask. Cut the sheetrock in small sections.
