My ex-boyfriend and I broke up 5 months ago. He had cheated on me a few months before and we tried to work through it. I was the one to call off the relationship after a year and a half. Since then, he has had another relationship and that one has broken off too. He is constantly calling me, sending emails and coming by the house. I have told him to stop and to leave me alone. I don't mind being friends but it would seem that he will never see it that way. And I am not in another relationship or really ready to start one again. How do I get him to listen and leave me alone?

Yeah, i said that too. "I dont mind being friend with you but.." NO. Stop right there. This is the truth: I met a guy where i dated for like a month and he wouldnt leave me alone for 8 years. YES 8 years. he slept in my car, snuck in my house, put a gun to his head in frount of me & the police...at first he was like this. Then i was like,"We canbe friends BUT.." No, say leave me alone or i will call the police then CALL THEM. get it on file if he doesnt listen. I moved 2x's because of a guy. It will ruin your life and your relationships. My boyfriend (now hubby) and i had to go to court 3 times because of this guy. I didnt feel he was a danger but even if you feel hes not, he still will make you miserable.

Your ex has some serious stalking issues. Go straight to your local PPO (Personal Protection Order) office , or Police Station and get a PPO.

don't pick up his calls... delete all the mails... lock the house.
in other words do all you can in the world to ignore/avoid him.
oh and tell him once the relationship is over, its over. and if he continues to bug you like this, there's no way you both can even be friends anymore.
