This just started doing this last weekend. No malicious software is found, and from what I can tell, no viruses.

You might want to check with microsoft or the company you bought it from.

Ah, the geniune microsoft advantage. Go to Microsoft, tell them the company that you bought the computer from, and they will give you a new license just for reporting the company. Did you get the original install and restore CDs? If not you definitely have a counterfeit copy.

That happened to us, too. We updated off the Microsoft website and we started getting irritating messages that would pop up all of the time. It happens when someone pulls the plug on a certain code that you are using to verify the authenticity of your program. Somehow my husband was able to undo the updates and we haven't had a problem since. I'll see if he can remember how he did it. Good luck!

I think you have to call the Microsoft Helpline and talk to them about it or you go over to where you bought it and see if they can help.
