For a surburban with an automatic: 4L60E transmission 6.5 hours, for a 4L80E transmission 7.5 hours

you,ll need to allow 6-8 hours strait work time on it ,i own a repair shop and i just got done with changing an automatic in one,it took me 33 days but the transmission was sent out for a day on it,,it s a big job on the suburban,,,if your having it done i wouldn't expect it to be back in less than 2 days anyway,,good luck i hope this help,s.

If your doing it yourself plan on losing a Saturday.If a mechanic,4 to 6 hours labor is a safe bet.

about 6 and 1/2 hours for an experienced mechanic!
