i just spent the last 2 hours in-putting data on to a spreadsheet and closed it without saving!!! what an idiot!

open excel-click tools-options-click the save tab-if you have auto save on it will show you the path to where it saves things-you can navigate to this location and find the file you were working on.

Try this, go to tools, options, save tab and see if you have the autorecovery option checked and if it is checked, then go to the file location specified where the autorecover save location is, you may actually find the file that you worked on. No harm in trying. Good luck

I've done it a couple of times.. and i;ve been pretty upset..

I've learned my lesson.. Now I save every 5 or 10 min...!

ouch! ive done that before my computer however actually saves it if it accidentally closes and i didnt realize it, or if my computer crashes/freezes it will save it for me in a back up file...so thank god for that!!

Oh my word, I HATE it when that happens. I feel like throwin my keyboard accross teh room. I can't tell you how many times that has happened to me. I feel for you.

doesnt it ask you to save? but i have done it. it is just as fun when when your computer freezes
