Mine was in 1976 in Philly vs. the Sabres. In the game Bill Barber scored his 49th and 50th goals and Reggie Leach scored his 61st. I was sitting 12 rows up from the glass in Section S at the place where Reggie released his shot and I can still remember the puck going over Gerry Desjardins right calf. I was 15.

In 1991, I attended my first game at the Maple Leaf Gardens with my older sister and 2 other co-workers. The Leafs were hosting the Detroit Red Wings (ding-a-lings). We bought tickets from scalpers outside the arena just before game time. It was exciting! Little did we know but the four tickets we bought we split up - 2 seats & 2 seats in another section. I sat with my sister. Funny thing is: I was the Leafs fan and she was the Red Wings fan. Our co-workers were split too. My sister & I almost got hit by a flying puck. Damn good game and the Leafs ended up winning!! What a night...! You just brought back an awesome memory. I was 22.

My first game was Montreal v. Boston at the Old Montreal Forum in '96. It is so hard to get tickets to see the Habs. It was the last game of the season, and the Habs were going to the playoffs and the Bruins were just going home. I don't even remember the game that well. I guess I was spending more time watching the fights breaking out in the stands between the Boston fans and the Montreal fans. That night, the Habs lost the game, but their fans won all the fights...

It was an exhibition between the Capitals and the Panthers. It was played in Tallahasse, FLorida. September 1997. The previous season the Panthers were in the Stanley Cup Final. Got to see John Vanbiesbrouck and Bill Ranford and a 'then unknown' goalie by the name of Olaf Kolzig, Dale Hunter and Adam Oates. It was great. I don't even remember who won. I was not real interested in hockey at that time but once I saw it live that was it. I was hooked for life!

I've only been at one and I don't intend on going to more as it is boring live. When you are at home you think it is a big deal when they call a time out and gather around the bench but when you go to a game you see they actually do this every 5 seconds .There is rarely any flow .The game I went to was Toronto against the Blues. There was no score with less than 3 seconds left in the third when Al McGuiness let a wrister go from just outside the blueline and beat Potvin, what a waste of time that was...

1979 Edmonton Oilers first game as an NHL team. What a great day. That year they were swept out of the playoffs in the first round by the Flyers who went on to lose the Stanley Cup to the Islanders.
