We have been visiting you off and on for centuries. Over the centuries, your planet was a curious place to visit once or twice and was not considered very interesting . Sure, your wars showed us how undeveloped you are as a species and your infantile,(in cosmic terms) dependence on god concepts does not bode well for you. We are now showing an interest in you because it is not often that we get to observe a species commit suicide. You are so close to maturing as a sentient species and it will be a shame to see you kill yourselves. There are just not enough of you becoming rational enough to force the issue. You let the least among you determine your fate, so be it.

we can guess they'd probably be based on water, and carbon (or silicum, which chemically is similar to carbon). Why? Because these elements are abundant in the universe, hydrogen being the most abundant, and oxygen the 3rd most abundant.

my guess is that you could have intelligent reptilian life (provided you don't get a meteorite to wipe it out).

as for the shape, anything goes but nature, anywhere, hates waste.

So for example, for a predator (like us), two eyes in a rigid structure (like a skull) are enough to provide a sense of depth through stereoscopic vision - so it is unlikely that nature would bother with 3 or 4 or more eyes, unless the supplementary eyes were of a simpler kind requiring less energy and complexity.

To grab things, we've seen that tentacles can work as well as rigid bits with articulations, so both are an option.

To move around, again tentacles might work just fine (though no land animals have tentacles, probably because tentacles require an effort even when you're standing, whereas bones require very little effort, which saves energy). As for the number of "legs", it seems that again, as nature hates waste, two is fine, three may work also (though three is not such a big advantage over two), and four works fine as we know - but having four legs plus some upper body arms is more work for nature, than just two legs.

Hope this helps a bit

There is no doubt that living matter on earth ,takes so many different forms. Richard Attenborough's episodes on tv are bewildering.

What is missing is the discussion on the SOUL in all these lives.

Einstein discussed the scientific contention of this, by basing the soul as a energy content .
It has been proposed that all , energy in our universe changes and always equates to ONE.

It has been drawn from this that SOULS enter and leave the universe to compensate the equilibrium equation above.
If new lives with SOULS come into the existance, so are other life forms giving SOUL energy up and travelling out of our universe.

It can therefore be said that the energy difference between a living and dead life form , is leaving the universe in the Black holes where these energy are known to depart and enter the universe.

Perhaphs a wide way to answer the question, which has pre-supposed a thought which is also unproven.

If they are intelligent - then they would almost certainly avoid living here! They could look like almost anything! Look at what lives in our seas and deserts - or at the poles. Very hot, very cold, very high pressure, poisonous atmosphere - we have things living on Earth that cope with all these things - yet many people still don't think life could exist on another planet!! You can be certain of one thing - they do exist and they are asking the same questions as you!

they could visit here, but scientifically it is very unlikely (not impossible tho) they would have to be advanced enough to get from another star (way beyond us, even if its a close star), they would have to also be intelligent around the same time as us and close to us in this vastly large and infinite universe.

they would probably look strange to us, ie: taller if their planets gravity was less than ours - if they breathed methane they would look differant too! it all depends on where they grew up, like a little girl really!

finally, i think they could easily exist given the size of the universe and how old it is. the universe is old enough for a few thousand star spanning civilisations to have rose and fell over and over. but we have been around for a blick of an eye, if a species grows on a suitable planet, suitabley close and in close enough time to when we can travel that far too - we may meet someone someday

What they look like, absolutly no idea at all. It depends on what type of world they came from. Heavier gravity = bigger lower limbs, lighter gravity = more delicate frame, probably taller.

They could have visited here, but the time scale is unknowable.

I'm pretty sure they exist, So many galaxies, so many planets, and we're the only ones? Very egotistical of us.

on condition that we exist there is not any reason to trust we are on my own. because the universe is so large with assorted stars with planets there should be different existence sorts. because the age of the universe is approx 13.7 billion years and the earth is 3.5 billion years. It has taken 3.5 billion yrs to create us. The existence time of a species contained in the global is someplace between 2 to 10 million yrs; so the probabilities of a volume smart existence sorts taking position even as >a million is a lot off. With large distances between stars that is not any longer going and we may be able to in no way understand that there are merely or better smart beings like us. So a recommendations to us the tyranny of distance has no sensible decision. the simplest attitude we may likely locate out an better intelligence in the adventure that they have got were given mastered wireless communique and they are interior one hundred gentle yrs persons. for this reason with too few stars interior this kind for there to be any style of reliable fortune to struck pay dirt. Seti may locate contained in the community generated alerts better a self-discipline although may require power of transmitters previous what ever we've now built to that end far. to triumph over galactic radio noise one may require physically powerful transmitters drawing close to the ability of our photo voltaic.

How they look would depend on the conditions on the plant where they evolved.

It is very unlikely that they would have visited Earth as the distances involved would be vast and would need faster than light travel (which is impossible.)

The planet they come from needs to be like Earth, with water and oxygen etc so they would wouldn't look too crazy, just similair to creatures on earth

I would like to think they actually looked like us but because they have not visited us I think they do not look like us.We would most likey be horrified/scared of them so they keep away. Who would want to visit earth at this moment in time with all this war?
