"Are we there yet?" or maybe "Edward Scissorhands."

Crocodile Hunter should be fine, you can even try to put in some social awareness by mentioning that Steve died recently doing what he loved best and dedicate that showing to the life of Steve. Of course, it also depends on what your daughter is into. The first Harry Potter is okay. I love Labyrinth ( I just introduced my nearly 9 year old daughter to it. ) Time Bandits is a lot of fun.

I remember watching Flight of the Navigator. That might be a little outdated.

Recommend a similar movie or something newer - like Jumanji or another movie based on an award winning childrens book.

I would recommend shark tales or the fantastic four. Shark tales is really funny and has good music that the children would like. It also has a meaning behind it. The fantastic four has a lot of action and is basically a sci-fi. And both are something that parents would enjoy watching as well.

Harry Potter if she's into those sort of movies. The Legend of Zorro is PG as well, The Chronicles of Narnia, etc. Good luck!

I loved the movie Willow at that age. I don't think it could ever go out of date. Someone mentioned Flight of the Navigator, I forgot about that one but I remember really, like it. Another one that is classic is the Princess Bride.
