You weren't losing it, that snow scene was really on at the end of Lost. Desmond, the scottish dude from the hatch's girlfriend has hired some people (don't know exactly who yet) to find her boyfriend or possibly the island itself. When that magnetic machine in the hatch went off because they didn't type in the code, it let out an electronic shockwave of some sort. The guys in the snow, (Probably Russia, Syberia or one of the poles) picked it up on their computer. Which is probably linked to a satelite.

In short, your not going crazy. It really did happen.

The woman they called from the snow station was Pen who was/is Desmond's girlfiend who would always wait for him. Earlier in the programme there was a flashback to show her saying to Desmond something along the lines of "with money you can find anyone". The people at the snow station were checking for any major magnetic activity. Therefore Pen must know something about the island/experiment but not where it is. I think her dad's involved somewhere along the way.

I think it's a great lead in to Season 3.

Remember that woman who said: 'If you have enough money and determination you can find anyone.'
Well, she set up a kind of listening post in order to spot the effects of that weird magnet thingy. She obviously knows something about the island and that the man she loves is on it, but not where it is. Now she knows where it is. It's all getting very interesting.
I want to know how they are going to explain the visions people have been having, the black smokey thing that has attacked people, the weird shaky trees etc; are they hoping we've forgotten about all that, because i haven't.

Did you think it was weird that Libby gave that guy the boat and that she ended up in the psyche ward with Hurley and then on the island, freaky.

The snow wasn't actually on the "Island" but somewhere else.

We don't know where it is but it is something to do with Desmonds' Ex-girlfriend who is looking for him for some reason.

Who thinks that everyone has a link to her father as well.

And he is behind the whole thing.
