Citgo is owned by Venezualan government. Yesterday 7-11 ended their contract with Citgo fearing that people would avoid using their products because of Hugo Chavez's latest antics.

They had already contracted with an independent refinery to provide cheaper gas that they can brand as their own. Last week's tirade on the floor of the UN had little influence on their decision which was already in the works for about 2 years. 7/11 is just capitalizing on the timing of Chavez' remarks to announce it's switch over to their branded gasoline.

The real kicker is that Citgo supplies most of the smaller independent refineries because the cheaper cost of transportation means savings for them. So there is a better than even bet that 7/11 will still be selling gasoline made from Venezuelan crude oil.

Like i patronize 7/11 in the first place i boycott every major corporation possible. Its easy when you live in poverty in America. Although i do not have a problem with Chavez's comments as they were accurate & you chicken-hawk bandwagon jumpers can't face the truth or reality especially when it comes to your financial security! If Chavez made Citgo drop its price under $1.00 a gallon watch how fast the very same hypocrite's would be filling up thier TANKS!

Here in Orlando, Citgo is usually on of the highest prices in town so I'm already boycotting them by going to a cheaper gas station. I don't care what some other dignitary said about Bush. I personally think he's an ***.

I buy nothing but Citgo gas. I refuse to support Mid-East theocracies like Saudi Arabia and Pakistan.

So Chavez spoke his mind. What a horrible thing to do. So much worse than the oppressive, terrorist-breeding, oil-rich leaders of the world

Sorry for the hard words, yet thats what he thinks about different international locations. wish you undersood now!

But what about all the Americans working for them. do you really want to put them out of work? Seems pretty heartless to me. I think we should all buy more CITGO gas, the sooner we run that POS out of oil, the faster he will be reduced to a tinhorn dictator.

Boycott Citgo??

Why, do you think it will matter. It will only drive Mobiles price up. Also in case you missed the memo, GB started a war for nothing. While I agree with the war on terror, I do not think we should have gone to war.

I think most of the world agreed

Pull the blanket back over your head and go back to sleep along, with the other 300 million American adolescents living in denial. Bush is not worthy of kissing Hugo Chavez on his a-s-s.
