Consider wearing something slightly less casual - or with a "clean" appearance
I would opt for a white linen shirt (long sleeves rolled or short sleeves), white linen shorts and sandals.
If this isn't in your closet - I would opt for khaki shorts, button down shirt (same with the sleeves as above) and sandals. Stick with conservative patterns and shorts that are not cut-offs.

Exactly with stuff he has cuz it's a beach party. After all it's gonna be on the beach even though it's at night.

Jeans, sneakers (converse reccomended) and a t-shirt (ideally band/skate) maybe a zip-up hoodie for when it gets cold.
