Acne related to your period is hormonally mediated and is a response to your fluctuating female hormones.
Usually, a period-related acne resolves after some time without any further help. However, if you wish to help the process along, keeping your face clean with an astringent can be a great help. Witch hazel, for example, will do a good job.
Of course, it's understood that things will revert to where they were during your next period.

I swear i'm not a mean yahoo user.....i just don't know if your asking for after your period acne info or just how to make your face smoother after acne - PERIOD. ??? I'm sorry.......
Best advice for either, don't scrape your zits with your fingernails. Leave them alone or simply pop them between two nails, but don't drag a nail against them. As for cleaner, I would use Proactive. Safe for all skin types. Endorsed by the best.
