You are partially correct in asking your question. In the cycle of Life, Death, and Rbirth all it is, is a altered sense of preception. Think about it for a moment, as you are in your mothers womb darkness surrounds you and as you grow you become more aware of your surroundings. You learn inside the womb from the sounds that you hear outside. This is the beginning of the age of innocence. As you are born and you grow your awareness grows as you learn from everyone that comes into your life. These people generally teach you the way they were taught. This is known as the age of domestication. Throughout your life you can either accept what others say to be true or you can seek your own answers. This is known as the age of defiance. As you come to the point of death and the "soul" leaves the body, because there is no more physical anchor, your preception changes and therefore if you are asleep or awake is a matter of how you see things.

Interesting question. When we sleep our spirits are free to travel. When we awaken, our spirits return to our bodies. So, in a sense, what you say is correct. The only difference between sleep and death is that when you die, you don't return to your body. It all seems like a dream.

In life, you will go through a lot of things you can't see. Some people don't think God is there, for example. When they die, they will see the truth.

It is believed that the world we live in is an illusion and that when we are born we purposely come into this illusion to learn spiritual lessons.

I hope not, or this whole world would turn out to be a pretty useless little nightmare.

I think you're onto something. So, how is death achieved? Do we have to kill our physical bodies? Why do we choose to be here anyway? Or do we?

Who knows?

If you stay awake in this dream
In this dream you're going to die
So say goodnight
or say goodbye
