All politicians ARE answerable for their deeds.

Just like every other human, some of them will not get caught, and so will not answer to the law.

Some live in a place where they are above the law.

But all people, inlcuding politicians and kings and presidents and terrorists do and will answer for their deeds.

I think that some politicians try to do the decent thing.
Unfortunately, they are rarely in power.

The one's in power, seem to get swept away by trying to please everybody - the electorate, big business, lobbyists, religion, minories, majorities etc.

Perhaps there should be several "prime ministers", who work on different areas and try to do their best in that area - oh yes, it's called the cabinet!
