Yes, there's a condition that describes him perfectly: paedophile.

I doubt that psychology can really explain anything for certain. It's all theory at the end of the day, and everybody is different so what applies to one doesn't necessarily ring true for another. I stopped studying psychology because I got fed up of writing essays without definite conclusions, "well, it could be this, but then we'd have to run the experiment 90 million times under precisely the same conditions and get precisely the same answer, which is of course impossible, so the conclusion is that we can never really know because no one really understands how the brain works...."

I think Michael Jackson is about as sane as any other American -look at George Bush for God's sake!

Hes not ill,hes more psychologically disorientated. It all goes back to his childhood,as hes been a star in very early age, growing up the normal route never really happened before the latter stages of his life.He lives in a sand castle, which represents his missing childhood, and it can be broken down with help of intense psychiatry, which I'm sure hes gone thru already. The trouble is,over the years hes established certain patterns of living and choices of convenience and the effects are irreversible, which makes him more immature than most people of his age.I still think he is a fantastic singer and one of the most important figures in music history tho.

I think psychology is soley based on Michael Jackson's behavior and the attempt to understand it, lol, just joking. Psychology can explain just about everything. remember psychology is not an excuse for someone it is just putting a name and understanding to someones actions. Just because someone may say he has such and such a problem, doesn't mean that person is trying to make it okay, that person is just trying to understand his actions. I hope that helps, very interesting question

The name is spelled "Michael".

Michael Jackson himself has said that his childhood was basically nonexistent and abusive, and as a result his emotional development was somewhat stunted. You would have to read interviews and statements that he himself has made to determine whether any of them are indicative of a psychological disorder.

I believe that he is eccentric, but not only borderline mentally ill, if at all.

To say Michael Jackson is mentally ill is like saying the sun is a bit warm.

he is mentally ill suffering with distorted perception, he clearly has problems with his identity, namely his colour as a result he presents with having a lack of confidence and has clear identity issues. he may have rejected his black identity as he may have had bad experiences with other people that share similar traits (perhaps his father who had allegedly physically abused him, excessive beating). therefore does not want to recognise his origin or be to close to other adults.
he may feel that adults are a threat to him as they may signify authority order and rules, these are things of which plagued his childhood not allowing him to pursue child like things ie) primary socialisation with other children of his age.
therefore this man may craves his childhood and feels that being with other children may be a way of regaining his childhood again. he clearly shares childlike innocence and does not appear to view the world and his behaviour in what some may feel in a logical way if anyone saw his interview with bashir they should understand where i am coming from. he lives a very sheltered life and clearly needs psychological help

He lost track of what was right and wrong because he was surrounded by "yes" men.

Often happens with rich and famous. If anyone says "wow, hang on a minute" everyone else near him just pushes them to one side so the gravy train doesn't get upset.

Yes, he's ill. No he shouldn't blame it on his childhood - thats just a cop-out.

I am sure there are alot of theories. The bottom line is that he/she/it is a freak that defies all reasonable & logical explanation, psychological or otherwise.

Being too rich and very famous before, had destroyed him physically and phychologically.
Make him a pauper and let him live with the poor to realise how fortunate he was before ..may make him normal again.
